Europe Cup, Abzakovo 26 – 30 of November 2008

Dear Friends, we, Russian Alpine Ski and Snowboard Federation (RASSBF) and resort
Abzakovo, kindly invite you to the Europa Cup races in Abzakovo, 26-30 of November 2008.
Official snow control and confirmation deadline is 12. November 2008.

1. Race Program:
23 of November - possible early arriving day (accommodation for hotel rate)
24of November - PSL – Russia Cup
25 of November - PGS – Russia Cup
26 of November - official arriving day (EC rate)
27 of November - EC PGS
28 of November - EC PGS
29 of November - EC PSL
30 of November - official departing day(EC rate)

Starting fee - 560 RUB (15 EURO) for each discipline
Entry forms have to be sent to snowboard@fgssr.ru till 15 of November

2. Visa: Dead line for visa documents - 10 of November
To obtain Russian VISA you need official invitation from Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is
only one way to come to Russia, which is difficult and takes time!!! To prepare such
invitation it takes about a week for RASSBF. You have to send us by e-mail or fax, not later than
8 of November, for all persons who are going to come in Russia:

1. Copy of first page of pass, with name, date of birth, and Photo.
2. Name of city where you’ll take visa (with Russian embassy or consulate)
3. Contact information (mobile number, e-mail)

Then we will take your documents to Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Russia. They will make
invitation and send it by telex to Russian embassy of the city you write (#2). Then we will send
you number of this invitation and date when you can get your visa in Russian embassy. Usually
it takes a few hours.

3. Way to Abzakovo:

You have to fly from your current location to Moscow, then from Moscow to:
-Magnitogorsk ( 60 Km away from Abzakovo, 45 min by car)
- Chelyabinsk (310 Km away from Abzakovo, 4h by car )
- Ufa (350 Km away from Abzakovo, 5h by car)

Then by car transfer to Abzakovo Hotel.
In Moscow there are three airports: Sheremetievo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo. Please, note in
booking tickets that transfer between airports in Moscow are very difficult, we strongly
recommend you to use one airport on your way. RASSBF is not responsible to organize you
transfers in Moscow, between airports. Usually it takes about 2 hours and 100 – 150 Euro
to go from one airport to another.

Transfer from Magnitogorsk to Abzakovo:

Please arrange your transfer together with accommodation. There is no “Rent a Car” possibility.
Magnitogorsk – Abzakovo, 60 Km, 45 min Car – 700 RUB Van - 1500 RUB
Chelyabinsk – Abzakovo, 310 Km, 4h Car - 2500 RUB Van - 6500 RUB
Ufa – Abzakovo, 350 Km, 5h Car - 2500 RUB Van - 6500 RUB
100 EURO is about 3600 RUB
Car – normal car with driver maximum 2 persons + boards + luggage
Van – big van with driver maximum 10 persons + boards + luggage
Also possible to get bigger bus, price by request.

4. Accommodation: Dead line for hotel reservation - 12 of November
About accommodation, and car please, contact Ilya Fokin (RASSBF, Moscow) and
Natalja Kungurtseva (Abzakovo Hotel)). Price is about – 1380 RUB (60 CHF) Euro per person
half board in double room. Lunch is about 200 – 300 RUB.

Usual hotel rate for early arriving is about 1500 RUB half board in double room. Luxury rooms
is about 2500 - 3000 RUB per room (max 3 persons in room).
!!! Payments are possible by credit card or in rubles. CHF and EURO are not accepted!!!

5. Way back:
You have to go from Abzakovo to Magnitogorsk by car transfer, and then fly to Moscow,
then home. About transfer from Abzakovo to Magnitogorsk please arrange when you’ll book
hotel.

5. General notes:
- 100 EURO is about 3600 RUB
- You have to change money for rubles in Moscow or somewhere (Ufa, Chelyabinsk) by
your way. In Abzakovo money changing is very difficult.
- Payments for accommodation, transfer and food (in hotel) are possible by credit card or
in rubles. Starting fee and food on the resort – cash (rubles) only.
- Remember deadlines:
- Visa documents 10 of November
- Snow control 12 of November
- Accommodation (EC rate) 12 of November
- Remember situation with airports in Moscow
- Lift for early arriving training is about 450 – 600 RUB per day.
